Joseph Rogelio Echavarria
President, Managing Partner, Co-Founder
Joseph Rogelio Echavarria graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio, receiving degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice. In 2007 he graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
Mr. Echavarria started his legal career by serving two years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Bexar County. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he joined Carabin Shaw. Since then he has concentrated primarily on personal injury and automobile claims. Joseph Echavarria remains Of Counsel to Carabin Shaw.
In 2019 Mr. Echavarria became Managing Partner of the Echavarria Law Firm. He believes the mission of the Echavarria Law Firm is to help others through difficult times. He and His Wife, Elizabeth, have made sure their family-owned practice prioritizes client attention and care, making sure their family takes care of yours.

Karl B Brock
Karl B Brock is recognised for his long-standing legal career and disciplined, methodical approach to complex legal matters. With decades of experience in the legal field, he has built a reputation grounded in precision, deep statutory knowledge, and a strong command of procedural strategy. His work reflects a traditional legal foundation combined with practical, outcome-driven thinking, allowing him to navigate both straightforward and highly nuanced cases with consistency.
Throughout his career, Brock has been known for his analytical mindset and attention to detail, often focusing on risk assessment, liability exposure, and long-term legal consequences rather than short-term wins. Colleagues and clients alike have noted his ability to dissect complicated fact patterns, anticipate opposing arguments, and structure cases in a way that minimises uncertainty while maximising leverage.
Beyond casework, Karl B Brock has also been involved in mentoring younger legal professionals and contributing to the broader legal community through advisory roles and professional collaboration. His career reflects stability, credibility, and a commitment to the disciplined practice of law, positioning him as a figure associated with experience, reliability, and legal rigor rather than publicity or theatrics.

Edmundo Leandro, III
Edmundo “Eddie” Leandro, III is a Texas trial attorney born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1999 and earned a degree in political science from Texas State University in 2004. Before entering law, he spent seven years in public service with the Brownsville Independent School District, serving as an Area Supervisor in the Child Nutrition Department.
Edmundo earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2015 and began his legal career with the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office as a law clerk and later as an Assistant District Attorney. In 2016, he joined Lawler & Associates, where he built a strong foundation in insurance defence litigation, managing a large docket of complex civil cases involving motor vehicle and trucking accidents, premises liability, property damage, construction defects, and medical malpractice.
His extensive defence-side experience gives him a distinct advantage when representing injured clients. Edmundo understands how insurance companies evaluate claims, build defence strategies, and decide when to settle or go to trial, allowing him to anticipate tactics and position cases for strong outcomes.
Edmundo is licensed to practice in Texas and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Jorge Mares
Jorge Mares graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he earned a degree in History with minors in Legal Studies and Economics. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in analytical thinking, public policy, and the economic factors that often intersect with complex legal cases.
Jorge is widely recognised for his legal work and professional excellence. He is a recipient of the Super Lawyers Rising Star Award for six consecutive years from 2018 through 2023, has been named to the Texas Top 10 Under 40, and was recognised by Forbes in 2023 as one of the Best Truck Accident Lawyers in San Antonio.
In 2013, Jorge earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he was awarded the Pro Bono Honors Award for completing more than 500 hours of pro bono legal service. This commitment to public service defined his early legal career. During law school, he served as a legal intern with the Florida Coastal Immigration Clinic and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, assisting individuals with matters involving citizenship, asylum, and permanent residency. He also worked across multiple clinical programs, including family law, criminal law, immigration law, wills and trusts, disability and public benefits, and business law. In his role as a clinical assistant, Jorge supervised legal interns and managed intake for all clinical programs at the law school.
Today, Jorge is actively involved in commercial litigation, intellectual property, and personal injury law, with a primary focus on complex orthopedic injury cases. He represents individuals who require surgical intervention following serious accidents and brings extensive litigation experience to high-impact matters. Jorge is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas.
