Joseph Echavarria is a San Antonio native who built his career inside Bexar County courtrooms. He served two years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney before moving to the plaintiff's side, where he has concentrated on personal injury and motor vehicle claims ever since, and has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients himself alone.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from UTSA with degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and earned his J.D. Cum Laude from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2007. He founded JRE Injury Law to represent injured Texans directly in his hometown and beyond.

Our Mission
JRE Injury Law was founded by attorney Joseph R. Echavarria, a San Antonio native who spent two years as a Bexar County prosecutor before moving to the plaintiff's side. Our mission is straightforward: represent injured Texans the way we would want someone in our own family represented.
We are a high-achieving boutique firm by choice. The attorney you hire is the attorney who works your file — not a case manager, not a rotating queue. It also means we take fewer cases and prepare each one as though a jury will see it, because that is what moves a carrier off a first offer.
We handle car accidents, commercial truck and 18-wheeler collisions, motorcycle and e-scooter injuries, carbon monoxide and other poisonings, and wrongful death cases across San Antonio, the Hill Country and the rest of Texas. I was still hospitalized and these guys took my case after hearing about the accident. Ever since they've worked with me and treated me like a good neighbor I knew they were on my side.
